Let me share to you a story which was told to us one Friday. This story touched my heart and taught me a lesson as well. Hope that this will also give you an inspiration.
Three Little Trees
There was once three little trees and dreaming of what they would become when they grow as big trees. The first tree want to become the most beautiful treasure box in the world, which will hold precious jewels, stones, jewelries etc.. The second tree dream of becoming a strong sailing ship which would carry people and will not sink even when faced with storms. The third tree dreams that when people looked at him, they will think of God. Time passes by, the three little trees became big trees. One day, a woodcutter came and saw the first tree, he said, "this tree is beautiful" and eventually cut the tree. The first tree was so happy and said, "finally, I will become the most beautiful treasure box that will hold precious stones." But the woodcutter made him into a box used to hold food for animals (as in a stable). After sometime, another woodcutter came and examined the second tree. The woodcutter thought that it is a very strong tree and started cutting it. The second tree was overjoyed, "finally, I will become the strongest sailing ship in the world, it will not sink even through the storm" he said. But the woodcutter made him into a fishing boat, where fishermen made use for a living. Then another woodcutter came and saw the third tree. The woodcutter has to looked up as high as the sky because the tree was so tall, but as he looked up the tree he didn't thought of God. The woodcutter cut the third tree and stock it together with other wood in his backyard. Time flies by, one couple came to a stable and put a precious child on the box where the animals eat. This child was so precious, even the rare and precious stones cannot compare to him. After sometime, a group of men are out of the sea and would like to rest for a while when a heavy storm came, and the fishing boat was about to sink. One man, is quietly sleeping while the other men are panicking. They woke up the man and the man commanded the water and wind to be still, and it obeyed, the water became still. So the whole group sailed safely back on the shore. Then, after some time, one man was being falsely accused and was sentenced to be crucified, so they brought a heavy and long wood to make it a cross. They nailed the man in Mount Calvary, buried and on the third day rose again. So the dreams of the three little trees did come true. End.
Dreams do give us hope and motivate us to yearn and learn more about ourselves in order to make that our dreams come true. Sometimes, when we faced failures we tend to develop doubts about reaching our dreams and feels that it is impossible to come true. But let us not lose the hope and faith that this dreams put in our hearts, because someday, even if it is not the way we expect it to be, one way or the other our dreams will come true. "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer" (Romans 12:12).
I Have a Dream by Abba
I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream
I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream
I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream
Keep the faith and continue to dream.
God bless us more,
Psyche
