taken from Mary's song in Luke 1:46-49 where Mary, after hearing from an angel that she will be with child, and after Elizabeth, being filled with the Holy Spirit blessed both mother and child, poured forth her praise to God in song. Indeed Mary was filled with great joy when she came to terms with being chosen by God to be the mother of Jesus. And we should find exceeding joy in knowing this Jesus our Lord, whose name is above every other name (Philippians 2:9-11), and who suffered to redeemed us from our sins through His sacrifice, that He may bring us to glory, making us holy and children of God (Hebrews 2:9-11). May we like Mary declare that our souls glorify the Lord, and our spirits rejoice in God our Saviour!
