Forever Reign

A Christian song by Hillsong. The lyrics speak of the attributes of Jesus and who He is. In John 1:1-13, John writes of the origins of Jesus who was with God and is God since the beginning. He is the Word whom creation is made through. He is the life and light of all mankind, which darkness cannot overcome. And it is this metaphor of light that John elaborates on, who came into a world that not only did not recognise Him, but rejected Him as well. But to all who did receive Him, He gave the right to become children of God.

Indeed we have everything to be thankful for, for we are God children if we believe in Jesus as the Son of God, who gave up His life for our ransom to purchase us from sin and death. Let our hearts sing no other name but Jesus, for He is the light of the world that will never be overcome by darkness, but forever reign.
