Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

A simple but beautiful chorus of a Christian hymn by Helen H. Lemmel. In Hebrews 12:1-3, the writer implores us to throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and to fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

Indeed when we turn our eyes upon Jesus, the things of earth which vie for our heart will lose its grip on us. But the things of heaven will seem all the more important in our lives. And Jesus' agenda in sharing the Gospel for people to repent and believe for the Kingdom of God is near (Mark 1:15), will be given top priority.
