I Surrender

A Christian song by Hillsong. The lyrics speak of surrendering our lives to the Lord for we are in need of His help, comfort, sustinence, and relationship with Him. In 1 Peter 5:6-7, Peter writes to his Christian audience to submit to God's rule in humility, and to cast all their anxieties on Him for He cares for us.

Indeed we can humbly surrender our lives to God's rule because He cares for us. He cared for us to the extent of sending His only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. He cares for us by sending His Holy Spirit to help us live lives in obedience to Him, even though Jesus is not physically with us. And He cares for us because one day, Jesus will come again to usher in God's Kingdom and to make all things right. I surrender.
