Scandal Of Grace

A Christian song by Hillsong. The lyrics speak of grace and how it was a scandal that Jesus Christ died for sinners like us. We deserved to die for our sins, but Jesus took our place on the cross instead. It is a scandal that God would die for man. And it is a scandal that man would still reject Him as Lord over their lives.

In 1 Corinthians 15:55-57, Paul speaks to the church in Corinth of the reality of sin and death - that we have victory over them because of Jesus' death on the cross for us. We who could not enter God's kingdom because of our mortal and perishable flesh and blood, now can because we have been clothed with Jesus' immortal and imperishable blood. Oh what a scandal that it's all because of You Jesus and Your love, that our souls will live, if only we repent and believe.
