Lead Me To Calvary

A classic Christian hymn by Jennie Evelyn Hussey. The lyrics speak of the centrality of Jesus' death and resurrection to the Christian faith, and our response of a life of sacrifice for all that God has done for us. In 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Paul tells the church in Corinth the foundational message of Christ's death and resurrection, and how if Christ did not rise from the dead, then our faith is futile and we are still in our sins (1 Corinthians 15:17-18).

Indeed we need to be reminded daily of God's love for us through Jesus' determination and resolution to go to the cross for us at Gethsemane, and as He hung on the cross at Calvary until death - all for the sake of reconciling sinful man to God. Thank You Jesus for all that You've done and may we bear our cross daily for You in grateful response!
