It Is Well With My Soul

A classic Christian hymn by Horatio Spafford. The lyrics speak of how regardless of whatever situation we are in, it is indeed well with our soul, because of what Christ has done on the cross for us to take away our sin, and because He will be returning again to usher us into His Kingdom. In Lamentations 3, the writer laments the dire situtation he is in, but yet he has hope because of God's great love, compassion and faithfulness for him (Lamentations 3:21-26).

Many times when we are faced with trials and tribulations, the tendancy is for us to give up and lose hope. But even amidst such times, God is still faithful, loving and just, and we can continue to hope in Him because of who He is and what He has done. May we be able to echo the words "it is well with my soul" even in the hardest of times, for God is our Rock and salvation!
