Behold The Lamb

A Christian song written by Keith Getty and performed by Kristy Getty and Stuart Townend.The title of the song is taken from John 1:29-30 where John the Baptist sees Jesus coming from afar, and declares to his audience that He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. And the lyrics elaborate further how Jesus takes away the sins of the world. Jesus spoke to His disciples during the last supper of His body and blood being broken and poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Indeed Jesus was and is the Lamb who was slain in order to forgive man of their sins, redeem and reconcile us back to God. And during the Communion, we eat the bread and drink the wine which signifies His death and atonement for us, and we remember it whenever we partake of the elements. Thank you for the Communion as a sing of our bond of peace, love, and grace. And we remember your sacrifice.
