In The Presence

A Christian song by Mark Altrogge. The lyrics speak of us being changed in the presence of a holy God. In fact, now that Jesus has finished His work on the cross, the presence of God resides with us daily. No longer does God dwell in His holy temple in the midst of His people. He dwells within us through the Holy Spirit. And indeed in His presence, we come before Him empty-handed and stripped of all self-righteousness, with nothing to offer but our lives in praise and worship. We are forgiven when Jesus took all our sins upon Himself on the cross. Thank you Lord that we are changed by what You've done for us, and what You continue to do in us through the sanctifying work of your Holy Spirit!
