Singapore Ducktours |
So we got up early in order to get a nice spot at the bus. We set for Suntec City and arrived before 10 o’clock in the morning. They gave us a short orientation regarding the Duck Tour and requested us to board afterwards.
During the tour, we passed by the Singapore Flyer (which we have seen so many times) and from there the duck tour began. While on the Singapore River, our tour guide tells the history of each tourist spots (I didn’t pay that much attention as the machine was loud and we were busy taking pictures). We went to Marina Bay and passed by The Esplanade, Merlion Park, Asian Civilization Museum, Chinatown Heritage Centre, Singapore Art Museum and City Hall, Boat Quay, Fullerton Hotel etc. Most of them were already seen by us. But it was nice to see them again.
After the journey, we asked our tour guide where we could buy cheap souvenirs and she advised us to go to Chinatown. As we have still time, we rode the City Sightseeing bus (an hour tour). We saw some new places such as Civic District, Orchard Road, Botanic Gardens, Little India, Chinatown & more along the City & Heritage routes. We hopped out at the Chinatown. Sure enough, we found cheap souvenirs much cheaper than the one near tourist spots.

Well, since it was my first time to sleep in a four star hotel, I was excited on our stay. Although, we were given a room in the last corner of the floor, the room was big and the scenery was beautiful. We took as many photos as we could as a way to remember our stay, we practically took every corner of the room (funny). It was a nice experience.
For our dinner, we were reserved in the Hotels Feast@East Buffet Restaurant. It is located on the third level of Grand Mercure Roxy Singapore. The restaurant boasts of the famous Peranakan Hotel Buffet, offering a great selection of classic Singaporean and delightful Peranakan cuisine to delight your nostalgic taste buds and take you to fond memories of the past. This makes it the ideal place to get together with family and friends for a nice meal where you can relax and take your time to enjoy the entire buffet selection over and over again at the pace you desire. I can say that the food was great; we tried them all and enjoyed it.
Every day is a different day at Feast@East Buffet Restaurant as the menu constantly varies to ensure guests will always be pampered with a delicious buffet selection. All time favorites such as the restaurant's signature Singapore Laksa and famous Durian Paste are available every day, lunch and dinner.

Breakfast starts at 06:00 am to 10:30 am daily, lunch is at 12:00 pm until 02:30 pm during Mondays/ Sundays and dinner commences at 06:00 pm to 09:30 pm daily.
After the dinner, we decided to explore nearby places. We walked our way to the Parkway Parade. It is one of Singapore’s first major and biggest suburban malls. It has understood and catered to the needs of local families for the past 20 years. It offers the largest range of stores on the East Coast of Singapore. With over 250 stores conveniently located over 6 levels including Best Denki, Giant Hypermarket, True Fitness, Isetan, Treats and Timezone just to name a few, you’re sure to find everything you need.
I was able to buy a pair of sneakers from Sketchers Shop from this mall at a discounted price. And since we were already exhausted, we eventually went back to the hotel to rest as we will have to fly early morning the next day.
In the morning, we ate our breakfast at the Feast@East Buffet restaurant and enjoyed our last day in the hotel and in Singapore.
By God’s grace, we were able to board the flight going back to Manila. We were greeted by our brother and nephew. It was a nice experience being able to travel with family and see the beauty of Singapore. Try it yourself. Until next time.
God bless us more J
