Alabaster Jar

A Christian song by Gateway Worship. The lyrics speak of giving all that we have to our God who deserves every bit and more. In Mark 14:3-9, we read of the account of a woman who was chided by others because she anointed Jesus with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume. They felt that it was a waste and could have been used for other more important ministries. But Jesus defended her for she had done a beautiful thing in preparing for his mission and sacrifice that was to come.

Indeed like this woman, let us give God all that we have for He deserves more than we could ever give. And let it be a sacrifice and offering of joy for He is worthy. Jesus has saved us by His sacrifice on the cross for our sins. Let us offer God our lives for His use and His glory!
