Jesus Shall Take The Highest Honour

A Christian song by Chris Bowater. The lyrics are taken from Philippians 2:9-11 and speak of how Jesus deserves and has been given all honour, blessing and power for all He has done. And this name which God has given Jesus, which is above every other name, and which commands our worship, is given because He had humbled Himself by dying on the cross for our sins.

Indeed Jesus shall take the highest honour and praise, for it is through his death on the cross for our sins that God's salvation plan from mankind has been fulfilled. And we gain access to the Father because His life and righteousness has ransomed us from what should have been our punishment for sin - death and eternal separation from God. Let us echo the words of Paul in declaring that all honour and blessing and power belong to Jesus, the Son of the living God!
