He Lives

A Christian hymn by Alfred Ackley. The lyrics speak of serving and worshipping a risen and living Saviour - Jesus Christ, who continues to lead and guide us in our lives, and will return once more to usher us into His new Kingdom. Jesus' resurrection is of vital importance to the Christian faith, because without it, the Apostle Paul says that our faith is futile, we are still dead in our sins, and we are to be pitied (1 Corinthians 15:16-19).But thanks be to God that He raised Jesus from the dead, and we have victory over death and the power of sin through Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:56-57).

Indeed Jesus lives, and because He lives, we can live in hope and eager expectation that all He has promised, He will fulfill. Jesus is the reason we rejoice and sing praises to God. Jesus is the reason we live for a bright tomorrow. Because He lives!
