I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

A Christian song by Ira Stanphill. The lyrics speak of the uncertainty of life and what it brings, but reminds us of the certainty of our God who knows and who looks after us. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus teaches his disciples not to worry about the things that they need, for the Father knows and provides for us. But Jesus instructs them to first seek God's kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be provided for.

What good advice Jesus gives to those who worry too much. Instead of worrying about things we cannot control, we should place our trust in a God who provides for those He loves. And He has constantly shown that love for His people Israel throughout history, culminating in the sending of His Son, Jesus who is the ultimate expression of God's love. And so we thank God for all that He has done, and continue to place our trust in Him for all our needs. For we know who holds tomorrow, and we know who holds our hands!
